Classroom Kit Lending Library

All renewable energy kits are kept at the Center for Wind Energy in Harrisonburg, however our NEED Wind Energy Kits are also located at various museums throughout Virginia for easier access (see map below for more info).

In addition, the Center for Wind Energy and the office of Outreach and Engagement at JMU have partnered to pilot a STEM Kit Library during the 2016-2017 academic year.  The pilot program is set to launch in mid-October.  These kits will be available to Harrisonburg and Waynesboro as well as Rockingham and Augusta County.  There are four kits available for loan:

To request more information about kits in the STEM library pilot program, please contact Erin Johnson at johns3ee@dukes.jmu.eduor 540.568.4224.

All Virginia educators are welcome to borrow kits for a maximum of one month. We require that all kits be picked up for borrow, as we do not have a budget to ship kits. If the borrower pays for shipping, this option may be considered.

If you have any questions about the CWE renewable energy kits, would like more information, or would like to request to borrow a kit contact Remy Pangle at panglerm@jmu.edu or 540-568-8768.

The status of all our kits is displayed below.
